Our Commitment to Housing Access and Equity
Housing instability is a pressing issue that affects both economic security and quality of life, often creating barriers to essential needs like food, healthcare, and utilities. It encompasses challenges such as overcrowding, frequent relocations, difficulty paying rent, and excessive housing costs that consume a significant portion of household income.
To combat these challenges, the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Foundation (ORRF) collaborates with nonprofits, developers, advocates, and elected officials to support cost-burdened households. Through strategic partnerships and community-driven solutions, we are committed to making homeownership and stable housing more attainable, fostering stronger and more resilient communities.
Identifying the Need
Housing instability affects families facing high rent, frequent moves, and overcrowded living spaces. When housing is too expensive, it affects other important needs like food, healthcare, and utilities. This makes daily life harder for many people in our community.
