City of Orlando agrees to land donation

As you may know, earlier this year the Orlando City Commission approved the agreement between the City of Orlando and the Florida Real Estate Foundation for the donation of the project’s six lots. The city still needs to complete several administrative changes to the lots before the foundation takes possession.

The execution of this agreement marks a significant milestone in the project’s timeline. With ownership of the lots, the foundation can move forward with implementing our fundraising plan as well as completing the final site design!

Individuals and organizations who are interested in donating to our type of project prefer to see major commitments before they make their own contribution. The city’s donation of the lots and the significant contribution from the Fair Housing Continuum will help persuade others to take action.
