The Florida Real Estate Foundation and the Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association are honored to develop this project, but we need your support to make it happen. Our fundraising goal of $1 million will provide six homes completely mortgage-free to deserving veterans and will provide sufficient supportive services to assist the veteran homeowners and their families. Looking ahead, the foundation would like to continue the development of other Heroes’ Commons projects throughout Central Florida.
The foundation’s board of trustees, under the direction of Chairman Beverly Evans, has outlined an aggressive fundraising plan to reach our goal! This plan includes meeting with potential donors as well as requesting grants from local and national organizations. If you would like to suggest an individual or organization you believe would be interested in donating to the project, please call Frankie Callen Elliott at 407.513.7276 or email@example.com.
If you or your organization would like to sponsor a fundraising event for the project, please contact Lindsay Spartz at 407.513.7277 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also make a donation directly to foundation by clicking here. Your donation to the Florida Real Estate Foundation will help make the dream of homeownership come true for local veterans.
Finally, thank you all for your continued interest in the Florida Real Estate Foundation and the Heroes’ Commons at Jefferson Park veteran housing development. This effort would not be possible without your encouragement and support. We are looking forward to our next update and the possible announcement of a groundbreaking ceremony!
In the meantime, any questions or suggestions are welcome and appreciated! Feel free to contact us!
Have a great spring!
A great deal of consideration has been given to homeowner requirements and to the process that will select the veterans who will become the recipients of Heroes’ Commons at Jefferson Park homes. There will be income and affordability restrictions required by both the City of Orlando and the foundation, and the criteria used to select the final homeowners from the list of qualified buyers has been reviewed by our military steering committee and approved by the foundation board.
If you or anyone you know is a veteran and is interested in being one of the homeowners of Heroes’ Commons at Jefferson Park, please have them contact HANDS of Central Florida at 407.447.5686 x202 or cflhands.org. Any potential homeowner must complete an application, a homeowner counseling course, and a financial literacy class to be considered. Visit HANDS of Central Florida for more details.
